Firefighters were called to tackle a large blaze on Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh on Bonfire Night.
Lothian and Borders Fire Service said 300m by 100m of gorse was alight and some areas were smouldering to the south near St Anthony's Chapel.
Fire crews were called to the scene at 22:25 on Saturday, and the incident was over by midnight. No-one was hurt.
Arthur's Seat is a popular spot for revellers to watch firework displays around Edinburgh on Bonfire Night.
The fire service sent one pump to the blaze and were assisted by Holyrood Park rangers. Lothian and Borders Police also went to the scene.
Firefighters used a fire break to stop the blaze spreading but could not access the whole area because of the steep, rocky terrain.
The flames were dampened and extinguished, apart from small pockets, by midnight, Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said.

Meanwhile, firefighters tackled a wheelie bin fire which ruptured a gas supply, prompting the evacuation of six flats.
A 68-year-old man was treated for slight smoke inhalation and shock following the fire at Magdalene Gardens in the east of the city.
